HOLDING BACK

Today's reading: Proverbs 29-30

"A fool gives vent to anger, but a wise person quietly holds it back." Proverbs 29:11 NLT

Holding back our opinions, our emotions and our thoughts proves how wise we are.

The proverb doesn't say, stuff your anger down, or disregard it, deny it at all costs.

It says hold it back.

For a better time...

For a more prayed over time...

For a more opportune time...

For a time when all parties involved are in listening mode...

For a time when God ordains the issue to be let out in a godly way...

Hoover Dam 'holds back' a whole lot of water. The valley below its great reservoir is not unaware of the water, but in desperate need of its proper containment and controlled release through turbines.

A wise person is like Hoover Dam.
