APPLAUDED BY GOD
Today's reading: 2 Corinthians 9-10
"When people boast about themselves, it doesn't count for much. But when the Lord commends someone, that's different!" 2 Corinthians 10:18 NLT
I cannot help but think of Job when I read this verse.
Minding his own business.
Serving the Lord in the mundane.
Honoring God by living the way he should.
Doing nothing spectacular, but doing all in a godly manner.
And God boasts about him--to Satan, none the less!
That's something!
To have God say, Have you noticed...?
To have God's complete trust as to how one might react to problems.
To have God's faith so deep that though shaken, God knows one will not topple.
I want that.
Not that I can boast about having it, but that one day, in some way, God will say about me what He said about Job--Have you noticed my servant, Malinda?
