LISTEN TO THIS
Today's reading: Psalm 3-5
"You can be sure of this: The Lord has set apart the godly for himself. The Lord will answer when I call to Him." Psalm 4:3 NLT
I love those verses in the Bible that I can quote to my enemy and he has to stop in his tracks!
The 'get behind me, Satan', kind of verses.
The Scriptures that slap a knockdown on his attempts to sway, convince or tempt me.
Like this morning's verse...
Enemy, you can be sure of this: The Lord has set me apart as His. The Lord, the God of angel armies, the King of kings, the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, will answer when I call out to Him!
To borrow a phrase, Them there's fightin' words.
I don't have to come up with powerful words.
I don't need to remember noun, verb and adjective.
I just need to speak what God's already spoken.
And believe in the power of His statements.
