BUT
Today's reading: 2 Kings 11-15

"He did what was pleasing in the Lord's sight,..but he did not..." 2 Kings 15:3-4 NLT

I've found a few verses in today's Scripture reading that begin and end just like the verse above.

The 'he' varied.

What they 'didn't do' varied.

'Who' was affected by it varied.

It all made me think...

Just owning a Bible doesn't fix my problems.

Just attending church doesn't right all the wrongs I've done.

Just owning Sunday clothes doesn't make me godly.

Just writing a daily blog doesn't make me...well, it doesn't make me anything.

I don't want it ever to be said of me that I did what was pleasing to God..but.
