THE ROOT OF IT ALL
Today's reading:  Psalm 134-136

I could fill page after page, or screen after screen, of all the things I'm thankful for.

I could list my family, naming them by name and listing the exact things they each bring to my life.

I could list my health and type on and on about how well my systems are working--and those who aren't quite up to par, I just need look around to see someone worse off than I.

I could list my house, my conveniences, my friends, my church.

I could list my country, even in its worst days I wouldn't live anywhere else.

Or  I could just give you a verse that sums it all up.  One verse that is the root of all I am thankful for.  One snippet of Scripture that is going to be my theme this holiday season...

"I know the greatness of the Lord..."  Psalm 135:5 NLT
