UP AND AT `EM
Today`s reading: Matthew 8-10
``When Jesus arrived at Peter`s house, Peter`s mother-in-law was in bed with a high fever. But when Jesus touched her hand, the fever left her. Then she got up and prepared a meal for them.`` Matthew 8:14-15 NLT
A miracle in the house!
An ordinary woman, living on an ordinary street, a mom of boys (turned fishers-of men)--and a miracle occurs!
And what did she do after being touched by God incarnate?
She cooked supper.
Really, she cooked supper.
The pots and pans were no different. The plates, bowls and cups held no greater appeal. The flatware hadn`t turned to a gleaming brass. The menu hadn`t changed.
Everything was the same, except for her.
She served God, worshipped Him for all He had done, lived for Him by doing her day-in-day-out activities with a different heart.
No matter what we are called to do, we have to remember we have been touched by Him.
Shouldn`t that change how we go about everything?
Everything?
