Today's reading: John 16-18

"Oh, there is so much more I want to tell you, but you can't bear it now." John 16:12 NLT

Words written in red always catch my attention.

Words spoken by Jesus Himself catch my heart.

He is telling me in this verse that I don't have to understand ALL of it now.

I ask Him, Why? He send the Holy Spirit to comfort me while I wait.

I ask Him, How much longer? He speaks soothing words of peace and patience to my heart.

I ask Him, How in the world can this work into a plan that glorifies You? He gently reminds me that He is God, I am not.

I cannot bear the answers to some of my questions right now. Maybe ever.
