READY, SET, GO
Today's reading:  Acts 23-24

"That night the Lord appeared to Paul and said, Be encouraged, Paul.  Just as you have told the people about me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the Good News to Rome."  Acts 23:11 NLT

Just when Paul was getting discouraged.

Just when he was doubting all he believed he was called to do.

Just when his world seemed to be turning upside down--and getting shaken loose from its foundations.

Just when the plan Paul thought he had worked out experienced a major wrinkle.

He received a transfer.  A promotion.  A new mission field.  A whole new city full of opportunities--and hearts who had not heard about Jesus.

It happens to us, too.

When we think it's all worked out.  When we think we're doing all we could possibly do.  When we settle into where we think He's calling us to be...

The plot changes.  The scenery changes.  The role we're asked to play changes.  The audience changes.

But, dear friend...and I believe Paul would tell us the same thing...God remains the same!

He remains worthy.  He continues to deserve our praise.
