Today's reading:  Malachi

"The priests lips should guard knowledge, and people should go to them for instruction, for the priests are the messengers of the Lord Almighty.  But not you!..."  Malachi 2:7-8 NLT

Yes, Lord, I know just the conversation You are referring to.

This verse reminds me that I am one of Your priests.

I should have held my tongue.

I should have refused to comment.

I should have prayed before opening my big mouth.

But I made my remarks.  I offered my commentary.  I vented.  I voiced my opinion.  I spoke too soon--and said way too much.

You are right.  As usual, You are right.

Let's spend some time, just You and I, discussing it.  I'm going to be asking Your forgiveness--please don't tell me I've used up my chances!
