SELF-EXAMINATION
Today's reading: 2 Timothy 3-4

"They will act as if they are religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. You must stay away from people like that." 2 Timothy 3:5 NLT

I wonder, am I the kind of 'people' Paul warned folks about?

Am I religious, or am I godly?

There is a huge difference, you know.

It's got me thinking this morning...

Am I preparing for church today as one with religion, or one that desires to be godly?

Will I sit in the pew today as one who attends religiously, or as one who desires God?

Will I be performing duties of my religion, or worshipping the One True God?

Will I speak to, help out, listen to and love on those in my church family out of religious duty or out of a godly heart?

Will I minister in my roles today to fulfill the tenets of my religion or as an outpouring of the God that dwells in me?
