THOUGHTLESSLY
Today's reading: Ephesians 4-6
"Don't act thoughtlessly, but try to understand what the Lord wants you to do." Ephesians 5:17 NLT
Thoughtlessly-lacking concern for others; insufficiently alert; done without thinking.
Do I take this verse to heart when I'm faced with a bit of bad news or an unlovely reaction from someone?
Do I pause long enough, within all opportunities to respond, to get God's direction?
Am I responding to another's hurt or pain, or am I reacting to my own?
Am I attempting to look at the 'big picture', seeing where God is in each and every circumstance, how He is at work around me, what He wants me to say--if anything at all?
Am I rushing to worry when I am not, on any single page of Scripture, called to do that?
Am I acting thoughtlessly in any area of my Christian walk?
