WONDERFUL JOY
Today's reading: John 16-18
"...You will grieve, but your grief will suddenly turn to a wonderful joy, when you see me again." John 16:20 NLT
Life is tough and full of grief.
Long nights.
Raging storms.
Diagnosis that stink.
Prodigals that stay away too long.
Friends and loved ones who let you down, and then do it again and again.
Pain that won't go away.
Emptiness that isn't filled by anything this world offers.
But when we see Jesus...
The grief of this world will in an instant be turned into a wonderful joy. A joy we've never experienced here on earth. A joy that won't end. A joy that won't wane. A joy that won't allow us to remember any of the grief held in our pasts.
