SLOW DOWN

Today's reading: Psalm 111

"How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in him should ponder them." Psalm 111:2 NLT

Pondering is not a fast-paced activity.

It's a prayer chair kind of sport. A sit on the porch swing type of activity. It's a lay awake at night and think kind of past time.

It doesn't happen in the heat of the moment, or at the height of an emergency or when your mind is bombarded with circumstances and happenings beyond your control.

Pondering is a specific, intentional, personal and private type of thought.

Have you done it lately? Have you slowed down long enough to think, not about all your problems, but about the amazing things God has done? The goodness of the Lord? The dimensions He is at work in in and around you at any given time?

Take time to ponder. Make time to ponder.

Let your mind focus solely on Him, His ways, His goodness, His love, His amazing character.
