GATEKEEPERS
Today's reading: 1 Chronicles 25-29

"These divisions of the gatekeepers were named for their family leaders, and like the other Levites, they served at the house of the Lord. They were assigned by families for guard duty at the various gates, without regard to age or training, for it was all decided by means of sacred lots." 1 Chronicles 26:12-13 NLT

There are three of us in this house.

Three believing Christians.

Three separate little-Christs.

Three gatekeepers.

We are each responsible for what comes in and goes out of our home.

Regardless of the age or training, as we all have our different 'gates' to guard.

Are we working together? Yes. Are we working towards the same goal? Yes. Are we all three needed to do the job in a godly way? Yes.

My guard duty has already begun even though the other two are still asleep. I always take the early morning gate duty. I prepare myself for the task at hand, prepare my heart, prepare my mind.

May God help all of us serving as gatekeepers.
