BUT EVEN AFTER THIS
Today's reading: 1 Kings 13-15
"But even after this, Jeroboam did not turn from his evil ways. He continued to choose priests from the rank and file of the people. Anyone who wanted to could become a priest for the pagan shrines." 1 Kings 13:33 NLT
But even after this?
For those a little older than myself, did you say the same things after watching the man land on the moon? Or watch a president assassinated on television? Or even as you held a loved one who returned from the Vietnam War or World War II? Maybe after having lived through the Depression?
Did you say it after 9/11?
Maybe you're saying it now and it goes like this...
But even after this...some will still not wash their hands?
But even after this...people will not appreciate the value of family gatherings?
But even after this...folks won't see the blessing of corporate worship?
But even after this...fellow employees will still insist on coming to work feverish and sick?
How will what we're going through today, right now, make a difference in you?
In your walk with the Lord?
In your commitment to serving Him?
Because, if even after this you're not seeing Him or seeing an opportunity to trust Him even more than before or allow 'this' to draw you closer to Him...you aren't looking hard enough.
