OUR WEAPON
Today's reading: 2 Corinthians 6-7

"...We have righteousness as our weapon, both to attack and to defend ourselves." 2 Corinthians 6:7 NLT

I've always thought of righteousness as a godly characteristic to have.

A nice line in an obituary.

A lovely compliment to have someone speak over you.

I've always thought of a person declared righteous as being an amazing saint, a time-worn, sold-out believer, a knees-hardened prayer warrior.

But I've never thought about our righteousness as being a weapon.

What we need to get through this life.

A tool that catapults us over and above our enemy's obstacles and traps.

Righteousness is our weapon to attack what's wrong in our world and to defend ourselves from its influences.
