HE'S GOT IT
Today's reading:  Micah

"But this is what the Lord says, I will reward your evil with evil, you won't be able to escape!.."  Micah 2:3 NLT

A two-fold lesson for me this morning...

Part 1:

Retaliations I need to leave in the hands of my God.  Bitterness, anger and that all too common feeling of I'll-get-you-back-if-it's-the-last-thing-I-do, need to be left in His apt hands.

It takes up too much of my time when I think of those things.  It takes up too much room in my heart, room set aside for God only.

Part 2:

I've probably got some things coming.  Repayments on evil I've doled out.  Probably not the vicious, sinister kind you're thinking when you read this verse but what about...bad attitudes towards others, record-keeping of wrongs done, snubbing, ignoring or gossipping about another.  What about grudge-holding or that ever popular I'll-never-trust-them-again seed that grows into hatred and chokes out love?

God's got my back.  There are so many things I need to leave up to Him, like pay-backs to others!
