ENDING OF A CONVERSATION
Today's reading: Genesis 16-19
"That ended the conversation, and God left Abraham." Genesis 17:22 NLT
Might it be you are at a point where you aren't hearing the Lord speak?
Could it be He remains silent when you cry out to Him?
Maybe you, as mentioned in today's reading, feel as if God has ended the conversation--and left the room?
Consider this:
Before God ever 'exited the conversation' with Abraham, God left him with plenty to ponder...
Plenty to think about...
Plenty to anticipate...
Plenty to prepare for...
Plenty to do...
Might it be the same for you?
God speaks through His Spirit...
He speaks through His Word...
He speaks through God-fearing believers...
He speaks through all the promises He has made...
So that leaves us with plenty to do. Lots to find peace in. A great deal of promises to stand upon. Many things to expect.
It very well might be that this 'quiet time' is the perfect time for you to be acting upon what you've already heard Him say.
