HE CAN RUN
Today's reading: Proverbs 5-6
"My son, obey your father's commands and don't neglect your mother's teaching. Keep their words always in your heart. Tie them around your neck. Wherever you walk, their counsel can lead you. When you sleep, they will protect you. When you wake up in the morning, they will advise you." Proverbs 6:20-22 NLT
Our son will be 14 in just a few months.
He's a great kid.
He's healthy.
He's smart.
He's kind.
He's a hard worker.
He's entering a stage in life when he needs us (mom and dad) less and less.
So this verse brings me consolation--he cannot run from what he's been taught. His dad's advice, his mother's speeches, his Heavenly Father's lessons will never be far from him.
He can run, but he cannot hide. God, his father and myself will always be with him!
