ALL HIS HEART

Today's reading: 2 King 6-10

"But Jehu did not obey the law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He refused to turn from the sins of idolatry that Jeroboam had led Israel to commit." 2 Kings 10:31 NLT

Jehu had become king.

And although he made some wise and seemingly godly choices, there were still some evil under currents guiding his heart.

He couldn't give his entire life over to the Lord.

There were still some areas he wanted to manipulate and manage for himself.

Some control he still wanted to maintain.

Some reins he still wanted his hands on.

Some say he still wanted to give.

Some changes he still couldn't, or wouldn't, quite make.

Sound familiar? Too familiar?
