OUR REASON

Today's reading: 1 Corinthians 7-8

"...You think that everyone should agree with your perfect knowledge. While knowledge may make us feel important, it is love that really builds up the church." 1 Corinthians 8:1 NLT

I cannot think of a more fitting time than this beautiful, early Sunday morning than to be reminded of exactly why we should be going to our respective worship services.

It's not to share our knowledge of Scripture.

It's not to debate our beliefs.

It's not to argue our translations of various portions of the Gospels or the upcoming tribulation period.

It's not even to pick sides as to whether a certain denomination might be more right than another.

If we are not going in the spirit of love, we need to pray.

Anything but a loving heart will tear our church down--and that's not what our world, our nation, our families or our church need right now!
