BENEFICIAL
Today's reading: 1 Corinthians 10-13

"You say, I am allowed to do anything--but not everything is helpful. You say, I am allowed to do anything--but not everything is beneficial." 1 Corinthians 10:23 NLT

Beneficial-producing good results or helpful effects.

Google says the average lifespan of an American female is 80.8 years.

In processing that statistic I see that I am well over halfway through my life.

So, when I think about the challenge of today's verse, it has me re-thinking a lot of what I do with my time, with my opportunities, with my words.

Is what I do producing good results or helpful effects?

Is it promoting Christ and Him crucified?

Is it proclaiming the power of the Cross?

Is it sharing the Good News?

Is it honoring God?

Because if I'm busying myself with anything other than that, it's not beneficial.
