GENTILES, TOO
Today's reading: Isaiah 56-61
"And my blessings are for Gentiles, too, when they commit themselves to the Lord. Do not let them think that I consider them second-class citizens." Isaiah 56:3 NLT
Just when I feel as if I'm opening up the Bible to once again 'read over the shoulder' of a Jewish friend...
Or when I step into the pages of an historical account of 'someone else's family'...
Or as I scan over pages that relate to a completely different time and space than the one I live in...
Just when I am struggling to know if His Word if for me, my issues, my needs, my good...
He pens these words.
He chooses to place in my line of vision this verse.
He leaves me, without a doubt, entirely loved by Him.
Because I'm the Gentile He refers to.
I'm the 'outsider' He has grafted in to His family.
I'm the adopted daughter of this Mighty King.
I'm the one to whom this love letter of Scripture is written!
