THAT'S ME
Today's reading: Romans 7-8
"I don't understand myself at all, for I really want to do what is right, but I don't do it. Instead, I do the very thing I hate." Romans 7:15 NLT
For the past 13 years I've used the same Bible reading plan. A plan which, every year at this time, places me face-to-face with the verse I believe God had Paul pen for me.
If the pictorial Bibles had been published back in Christ's day, He would have insisted my picture be placed beside this verse.
Most Bible commentaries could very easily refer to me when explaining the meaning behind this verse.
Thankfully, Sunday School lessons choose to leave my name out of the literature when publishing!
I know about this verse.
I have grand plans each and every day to do what is right--and stay as far away from what is wrong as possible.
And at the end of the day, I'm back on my knees asking God's forgiveness for the very things I had wanted to steer clear of.
I know about this verse.
Sadly, I know about this verse.
