YOUR THINKING

Today's reading: Romans 11-12

"...but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is." Romans 12:2 NLT

I'm a checklist kind of gal.

Never do I feel like I accomplish more and am more efficient than when I can mark things off my checklist.

Laundry--done!

Dusting--done!

Meal planning--done!

But to God, it's more than a checklist. It's more than a list of things to do. It's more, way more, than anything I can do with my hands.

He wants to change my thinking.

He desires that my thoughts line up with His. That my imaginations be founded on His truths. That my dreams include His purpose for me.

And that cannot be done via checklist!

It's not usually a physical matter whatever.

It's a constant mental wrestling match--one where you cannot tag out.

I'm working on lining my thinking up with His. I'm attempting to check each thought. I'm trying to grab hold of each idea that comes to my mind and measure it against His Word.
