GREAT ROCKS

Today’s reading:  Romans 9-10

“…They stumbled  over the great rock in their path.”  Romans 9:32 NLT

In this passage Paul is referring to Israel’s lack of faith in this ‘new’ type of faith.  They couldn’t grasp just believing when they had been raised to follow so many rules, laws and instructions.

It was a huge rock in their path to godliness.  An obstacle that stands like a looming mountain in their relationship with the Most High God. 

Do you have a rock that remains in your way?

Someone?  Someone outside, or inside the church?

Your past?

Fears?

Your pride?

Your failed attempts?

Your desire to do more or be more instead of believe more?

Today would be a great day to remove the rock in your path, wouldn’t it?
