RIGHT RESPONSE
Today's reading: Mark 1-2
"And they left their nets at once and followed him." Mark 1:18 NLT
"He called them, too, and immediately they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired men and went with him." Mark 1:20 NLT
"Simon's mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. They told Jesus about her right away." Mark 1:30 NLT
I'm convicted this morning about my personal response to Jesus.
About the times He asks me to do something.
In regards to the moments He whispers in my ear, Put that down.
Concerning the folks He may have placed in my path for a conversation about Him.
The disciples did it the right way...at once, immediately, right away.
I cannot admit that those adverbs describe my decision making process.
What might be more applicable? After much thinking, once it was pondered a great long time, when it was the only choice left.
Sound familiar?
Let's, you and I, determine that starting today we use the words that described the obedience of the disciples--at once, immediately and right away.
I can't believe it's going to make an impact (it did for them) on us and on those around us!
