LET ME TELL YOU
Today's reading:  Song of Solomon 5-6

"Young women of Jerusalem:  Oh woman of rare beauty, what is it about your beloved one..?"  Song of Solomon 5:9 NLT

The beautiful bride of Songs is talking to her girlfriends about the one she loves.  The girls, and I can just see them sitting around at her feet as she applies her make-up, want to know just what it is that makes him the 'one'.

She begins listing his physical traits.  His skin, hair, eyes, cheeks.  His lips, breath, arms, legs.  She tells them everything she adores about him.  He was quite a guy--and this woman had no qualms about telling everyone about him.  She was that much in love!

Do we do the same for the One we love?

Are others captivated by the love you have for God--and the love He has for you?

Could they sit for hours as you regale them with instances of His love being proved to you?  Are they fascinated with the relationship shared between you and Him?  Are they intrigued by how you talk about Him, all you love about Him and how far you would follow Him?

Do they hear it in your voice?  Do they see it in your actions?  Do your eyes light up when you talk about Him?

Or do they even know about the One you love?
