BETTER THINGS
Today's reading:  Hebrews11-13

"All of these people we have mentioned received God's approval because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised.  For God had far better things in mind for us that would also benefit them, for they can't receive the prize at the end of the race if we don't finish the race."  Hebrews11:39-40 NLT

We're among good company when we dream and scheme what we believe would be best for God to do in a situation.

Moses did it.  Gideon did it.  The marchers around Jericho reluctantly did it. 

They expected one thing and God did another.  They had written a conclusion to their faith stories--God, being Who he is, failed to read their transcript.

God's always, always got better things in store for us. 

We just have to remember, we may not receive them here!
