HE'LL STAND
Today's reading:  Acts 5-6

"...If they are teaching and doing these things merely on their own, it will soon be overthrown.  But if it is of God, you will not be able to stop them..."  Acts 5:38-39 NLT

God never goes out of fashion.

He never expires or retires.

God was before time began and He will be after time as we know it ends.

The things of God are the same.

When we determine to assess every moment and every action in terms of eternal consequence and act in a godly manner, we will leave a legacy and a history that changes people for generations to come.

If we do it on our own, we'll burn brightly for a while--then fizzle and burn out.

God has appointed this whole life to be all as a race or a battle; the state of rest, wherein we shall be so out of danger as to have no need of watching and fighting, is for another world.  -Jonathan Edwards
