JESUS'S LOVE

Today's reading: 2 Corinthians 6-8

"You know how full of love and kindness our Lord Jesus Christ was. Though he was very rich, yet for your sakes, he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich." 2 Corinthians 8:9 NLT

Sermons today will be filled with references to the love of our mothers. And rightly so. Few loves are as deep, as lasting, as heartfelt or as fierce as that of a mom.

But this morning my reading has me thinking about the depths of Jesus's love for me.

He left all He had.

He left all He knew.

He left all that was comfortable.

He gave up His power.

He gave up His heavenly body for a human form.

He gave up His life for me.

The closest thing for us to compare on this earth to Jesus's love--is that of a mom.
