HEART TRANSPLANT
Today's reading: Jeremiah 22-24
"I will give them hearts that will recognize me as the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me wholeheartedly." Jeremiah 24:7 NLT
I don't know about you, but I'm in need of a heart transplant.
Not, the medical kind, but the spiritual one.
The kind that takes me back to the feet of Jesus.
The one that places me firmly at the base of the cross.
The type of transplant that removes all bits and pieces of self-made and erected idols and puts God right back where He belongs in my life.
Back to the joy-filled, peace-giving, excitement-loaded, share-it-with-everyone, cannot-believe-it-would-happen-to-me kind of thrill that salvation gave me at first.
I want that 'heart' back.
