FREE TIME
Today's reading: Psalm 1-2
"Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with scoffers." Psalm 1:1 NLT

I wouldn't dare...
Me?..
Not in a million years...
Maybe you take offence to this psalmist's advice not to 'hang out' with unsavory, unwise or ungodly people. You know better.
But might I ask this one question...
(I'm only asking it because the Lord asked me first.)
Who are you hanging around in your free time? Your down time? When you decompress? When you chill? When you're potato-ing of an evening in your comfiest of clothes?
Is what you view on the television screen honorable?
Is what you scroll through on your laptop edifying?
Is what you read, book or Kindle or iPad, God glorifying?
The 'pals' who influence us aren't limited to the ones we sit at the lunch table with. It's not only the folks we spend Friday nights with. It's not just those in our closest cliques.
Maybe it's time to assess your free time and how you're spending it.
