THAT'S WHY
Today's reading:  1 John 4-5

"This is how God showed His love among us:  He sent His one and only Son into the world, so that through Him we might live."  1 John 4:9 NIV

He didn't send us a lifetime of good days.

He didn't send us an unlimited checking account.

He didn't send us sunshine and no rain.

He didn't send us health, wealth and happiness.

He didn't send us a statue we could hide away in our pockets for emergency situations.

He sent His one and only Son.  He knew Jesus was what it would take to give us eternal life.  He knew He was the only suitable sacrifice.  He knew His perfection was of more value than our sins.

He knew what we needed, so He sent Jesus.
