AGAINST GOD
Today's reading: Deuteronomy 12-13, Luke 8:4-21, Psalm 65:9-13
"You must not do this to the Lord your God..." Deuteronomy 12:31 NLT
Ever paused to think that our sins, though touching our lives and the lives of others, are truly against God?
Our sins mock Him.
Go against His commands.
Break His heart.
When we know His will, His desires, His commandments, and yet make the choice to forego them, we sin against the Lord our God.
We turn our back on Him.
We reject Him.
We discredit Him.
We tell Him, in no uncertain terms, that we know more than He does.
Sounds harsh?
Sin is.
