JUST A REMINDER
Today's reading:  Luke 23-24

"The Lord has really risen!.."  Luke 24:34 NLT

There's nothing like a week of Vacation Bible School to revive your walk with the Lord.

It's contagious seeing the eyes of a child light up as they hear of the life of Jesus for the first time.

It's a boost to the weary soul to see kids excited about the miracles of Jesus.

You see, we sometimes get ho-hum about the greatness of our King.

The disciples in today's reading, still shell-shocked from the happenings of Easter week, finally get it.  They get to walk and talk with Jesus.  They understand what they saw--and Who now stands before them.  They had heard the accounts of Jesus coming back to life, but now they felt it in their very beings.

That's what Bible School did for me.

It's all the stuff I knew.  It wasn't that I was learning anything new.  It's just that I was reminded, by the eyes of the kids, just how very important and exciting it all is.
