SHINE ON US
Today's reading: Psalm 78-80
"Turn us again to yourself, O God. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved." Psalm 80:3 NLT
Lord,
Place your loving hands upon our shoulders and re-direct us to You.
Lovingly speak into our ears, 'This way, child of Mine.'
Take the time to make Yourself known to us in the day ahead.
Give us an 'ah-ha' moment with which our entire focus is You--and You alone.
It's only when You step into our paths that we will be saved. Saved from the death and hell we deserve. Saved from the consequences of the path we're on. Saved from our selves.
Shine upon us, God!
Let the Light of your love and holiness light up the darkest corners of our lives. The places where we have let sin settle in. The corners in which we have begun to believe we've got our tendencies and desires on a leash.
Let us know You know all about those areas of our hearts that we have not allowed you to have.
Shine ever more brightly there, Lord.
Radiate the sins out of our lives.
Illuminate Yourself and draw us to You.
