HIS TIMING
Today's reading:  Exodus 29-32

"When Moses failed to come back down the mountain right away..."  Exodus 32:1 NLT

The Israelites set a timer for Moses' time with God.  They'd allotted him a certain amount of time and when that time had expired, they went on with their own sinful plans.

Sounds like some folks I know.

Some folks I am very well acquainted with.

Someone I know personally well.

Oh, let's just put it out there--it sounds like me!

And like with the children of the Most High God, problems come to pass when I don't hold out for Him.

Each and every time.  In every circumstance.

They built the golden calf, my gods are seldom resembling animals-but idolatrous even so.

I've got to learn to wait expectantly on God.

Today may be the day.  This week may be the week.  This could possibly be the month.  And if I'm called to wait longer, then wait I will.

I can't be trusted to watch the clock!
