ONLY ONE GOD
Today's reading: Romans 3-4
"There is only one God, and there is only one way of being accepted by him. He makes people right with himself only by faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles." Romans 3:30 NLT
If you are rising and shining this morning and intent on heading to your house of worship in order to fulfill an obligation or duty in order to be made right with the Lord--just go back to bed.
If you daily mark off your checklist of Christian disciplines in an effort to look good to God--throw away your list.
If you give to the poor, clothe the naked and provide for the widows so that when it comes times to enter heaven you'll be given a 'pass'--stop what you're doing.
There is only one God and there is only one way of being accepted by Him...
Through the saving power of the blood of Jesus!
Believing Jesus came, died and rose again.
Admitting to the fact that you, indeed, are a sinner needing a Savior.
Confessing to everyone around you that you have been forgiven and saved by the Son of God.
No committee. No volunteer list. No charitable contribution.
Faith.
Simply and completely by faith.
