WISE

Today's reading: Proverbs 23-24

"My child, how I will rejoice if you become wise. Yes, my heart will thrill when you speak what is right and just." Proverbs 23:15-16 NLT

In our finite minds, attaching a human emotion like pride, to God is a little hard to do. At least it is for me.

But imagine Him beaming with pride as we become more and more wise with each turn of the page of our Bibles.

Not more street smart.

Or informed.

Or savvy to the world's charms.

But wise--being able to use the knowledge we have acquired to change our lives, to make us more like Jesus.

Saying what's right.

Doing what's honoring.

Thinking what's holy.

Portraying Whose we are!
