READY

Today's reading: 2 Chronicles 1-5

"...All the priests who were present had purified themselves, whether or not they were on duty that day." 2 Chronicles 5:11 NLT

This portion of this very verse has my heart pounding, my head spinning, my senses on alert and my ears wide open to God's speaking this morning.

Am I always ready to do God's work?

Always purified and prayed up?

Ready, at a moment's notice, to step in where He needs me to serve?

It doesn't matter if it's my turn to serve, my day to be on call, my preferred area of ministry-or even in my own church.

Am I ready? Am I prepared, heart, mind and soul, to do the Lord's work?

God places opportunities before me without notice. He puts people in my path. He opens doors for me to walk through and into conversations about Him.

Am I ready when those times come?
