THE EARTH SUFFERS

Today's reading: Isaiah 23-28

"The earth suffers for the sins of the people, for they have twisted the instructions of God, violated his laws, and broken his everlasting covenant." Isaiah 24:5 NLT

Have you seen the earth suffering?

Maybe you've caught a glimpse of, read an article about, or heard spouted on the news one, or many, of these 'earth struggles'...

Forest fires.

Acid rain.

Melting glaciers.

Animal species becoming endangered, then extinct.

Global warming.

Increased tornadoes.

Droughts.

Flooding.

Whether you believe these occurrences, or not...

Whether these things are happening where you live, or not... 

Whether we can trust the scientific elite, or not...

I think we'll all agree that the earth is groaning with the weight of our sins. 

How can it not? 

When the Creator of all, including us, is disregarded, demeaned, discounted and dismissed--all earth, including us, will suffer for it.
