As your prepare for tomorrow's worship service, I ask you to come alongside me and think about a few things...

Why am I going?

Who am I going for?

What do I hope to get from going?

What do I believe my presence will add to the service?

The first Sunday of the New Year is a great time to check ourselves in regards to the attitude we have in regards to worship.

If God isn't the reason we're going, there's a problem.

If worship isn't the intended purpose of your pre-church efforts, re-think your reasons.

If you think your attendance is so important that it will make or break the 'spirit of the service', I believe you need to do a little spiritual inventory.

It's more about giving praise, seeking to be in God's presence, learning from His Word and hearing what He desires to speak to our hearts than anything about ourselves.
