WHAT DRIVES ME
Today's reading: 1 Samuel 14, John 4:11-38, Psalm 78:67-72

"Then Jesus explained, My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work." John 4:34 NLT

Jesus told His disciples the secret to His success: having a desire to do what God asked of Him.

His drive was obedience.

His sole purpose was servitude.

His fuel was following the direction of God.

It's what got Him up in the morning.

It's what kept Him going through the day.

It's what allowed Him to lay His head down and sleep peacefully each night.

It's what gave Him the love required to deal with humankind.

It's what let Him do what made no sense, hurt and what wasn't understood.

It's what gave Him the strength to go to the Cross for us.

Oh, that our lives were fueled by the same desire!
