CEASELESS ACTIVITY
Today's reading: Ecclesiastes 7-8
"In my search for wisdom, I tried to observe everything that goes on all across the earth. I discovered that there is ceaseless activity, day and night." Ecclesiastes 8:16 NLT
Solomon, even in his day and time, realized how much time people wasted.
And that was BEFORE computers, internet and video games!
He, I believe, was a people watcher. A notice-r of lifestyles, choices and personalities. A scholar of demographics.
And what he saw then, and what he would see today, is that we busy ourselves with things that are of no value.
We get to the ends of our lives and have spent far too many minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years on things that are not going to follow us into eternity.
Today I'm challenging myself to invest in eternal choices. To make the time to leave an impact. To choose meaningful activities to spend my time on.
