RELIGIOUS REFORMS

Today's reading: 2 Chronicles 29-32

"Now when the festival ended, the Israelites who attended went to all the towns of Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim and Manasseh, and they smashed the sacred pillars, cut down the Asherah pole, and removed the pagan shrines and altars.  After this, the Israelites returned to their own towns and homes." 2 Chronicles 31:1 NLT

What would it look like across our nation if we, as God's people, went about making some God-led, God-honoring, God-sized religious reforms?

The areas affected would be political, social, economic, educational, medical, community, familial and spiritual.

Where we went would be changed.

Where we spent our money would be different.

What we allowed to be viewed, watched, celebrated would be altered.

Who we were in our homes, in our churches, in our workplaces, in our gathering place, would be impacted.

2 Chronicles 31:1 shows the metamorphosis to be from outside, neighboring towns, to inside, their towns and homes--but didn't it all start with each and every individual deciding to follow the Lord? Wanting to honor Him? Obeying His commands?

Might that be where the changes needing to be made around you should start too?
