SO THEY WILL KNOW
Today's reading: Acts 11-12
"The power of the Lord was upon them, and large numbers of these Gentiles believed and turned to the Lord." Acts 11:21 NLT
...(It was there at Antioch that the believers were first called Christians.)" Acts 11:25 NLT
Outsiders came to the saving knowledge of Jesus and His work on the cross.
Those who were considered 'unclean' were adopted into the family of God.
How did it happen?
Through persecution.
After hard times had occurred.
"Meanwhile, the believers who had fled from Jerusalem during the persecution after Stephen's death traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus and Antioch..." Acts 11:19 NLT
Had these Jewish believers stayed in their comfortable, cozy, routine driven lives in Jerusalem, the people in Antioch might not have heard the Gospel.
So...
Could it be this tough time you are going through will lead others to know the Lord you love and serve? Won't it all be worth it?
