JUST GUESS
Today's reading: 1 Corinthians 1-2
"Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 1:7 NLT
Guess which word jumped out at me from this verse.
Go ahead, guess.
It wasn't every...
Or need...
Or wait...
It was the word 'now'.
As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, right now, this very instant, as we speak, you and I have every spiritual gift we need as we wait for Jesus to return!
We don't have to bank so many hours in Christian growth classes.
Or wait until a certain age.
Or attain a position on a specific church committee.
Right now we have all we need.
So, that being said, if you and I aren't seeing those gifts in action--it's not because it's not there, it is because we're not utilizing His potential within us.
