THE LORD IS SAYING...
Today's reading: Psalm 84-86

"I listen carefully to what God the Lord is saying, for he speaks peace to his people, his faithful ones..." Psalm 85:8 NLT

A text conversation with a friend yesterday went like this...

Me: Praying.

Her: I'm afraid!

Me: Has God told you to be afraid?

If only I listened to my own advice! How I wish I could tell you I never fear, never doubt, never worry.

He speaks peace to His people, the ones called by His name, the ones saved by His Son's blood, the ones who have claimed His gift of salvation. He speaks peace to His sheep. He speaks peace to His children. He speaks peace to His followers, His disciples, His servants.

Anything other than peace that is whispered into our ears, we should second guess.

When a fear comes to mind, realize it is not from Him.

When worry invades, acknowledge our enemy's attempt to distract our hearing.

When doubt creeps in to our thinking, know it has not been placed there by our Father.

Listen carefully to what He is saying.
