PREPARING FOR A FESTIVAL
Today's reading:  Numbers 29-32

Our reading today is what would put most of the best party-planners of our age into a complete tail-spin!

It would also eliminate a majority of godly, dedicated to the church Christians due to the extensive preparation required to worship the Lord on His special days.

The Festivals of Shelters required, for instance:

61 young bulls, 15 rams, 99 one year old male lambs with no defects, 8 male goats and 548 quarts of choice flour--choice being made at home, not picked up at the local WalMart!

All to celebrate eight days reminding the Israelites of their time of wilderness wandering.

I'm ever so thankful I'm on this side of the line dividing Old Testament from New Testament and One Perfect Lamb is what I need to be reminded, redeemed and revived!
